How long have you been doing CrossFit? (Since Month, Year): Started 2014 off and on; covid; kids, more kids…
How did you first discover CrossFit and what made you decide to start?: I was tired of the LA fitness routine (all upper body and no legs)
Tell us about your fitness/sports background: Played tennis in college, starting to play more golf and now I’m really starting to work in diet to training.
What sorts of positive changes (mental, physical, emotional) have you noticed in your life since getting involved at No Excuses? Better shape physically, better sleep and more energy
Who or what keeps you coming back and motivated? I just feel better when I workout and eat healthy & I need to be able to keep up with my kids as they get older. I want to enjoy a long fulfilled life as I get older even looking ahead to retirement.
In what other ways do you use your fitness? I am usually on my feet all day leaning over patients; Keeping a strong core and good posture will help prolong my career and prevent other injuries.
Please share with us a favorite CrossFit or No Excuses moment. I remember my first ring muscle up. I set a goal and after many months of attempts and scaling the movement it finally happened. That was top of my CrossFit bucket list.
Name one goal you would like to achieve in the next year (doesn’t have to be CrossFit related, but it can be) Being more consistent at No Excuses and becoming stronger, more flexible and pain free.
Tell us about your hobbies and interests outside of the gym: I play ALTA for my neighborhood team (tennis league), playing more Golf and recently started the surprising fun sport of pickleball. Enjoy spending time with my wfe and family of three little ones (5,4,1)
What advice do you have for someone just starting CrossFit or is on the fence about starting? Read the book Outlive by Peter Attia MD. CrossFit or other similar workout program is very important in your overall wellness
What do you love most about No Excuses? Constantly varied workouts that you can scale to your ability.
