The CrossFit Open is a few days away and No Excuses CrossFit drafted teams for its annual in-house competition.
CrossFit Open 26.1 workout will be announced on Thursday, February 26 and will be performed during the six class times at No Excuses CrossFit on Friday, February 27. CrossFit Kids Open will be at 5:30pm.
No Excuses CrossFit will have three teams led by the coaches competing against each other. If you have not registered for the CrossFit Open, you can still register and be placed on a team. The winning team gets its name put on a banner and hung in the gym.
Please read below about the scoring for the competition.
• Disclaimer:
Any attempt to work around the rules and interpret another way is annoying. Encourage members to participate as much as possible and have fun.
• Points for the following:
- Doing the workout on Friday afternoon at 4:30pm, 5:30pm, 6:30pm (5 points), doing the workout Friday at 6am, 8am, 12:30pm (3 points), Doing the workout on Saturday/Monday (1 point). No additional points for re-doing the workout on Saturday or Monday.
- Judge someone doing the Open on Friday (3 points). No points for judging on Saturday or Monday.
- Finish in the top 3 male and female Rx (10 points) or scaled division in the gym (5 points)
- Example: Top 3 male Rx, male scaled, women Rx, women scaled
- Masters 55+ Rx will be included in Rx. Masters 55+ will be included in scaled.
•Bonus points:
- Weekly team attire (2 point) – attire must be worn during the workout.
-Week 1 (Feb 27): No Excuses shirt/colors (black, blue, white)
-Week 2 (March 6): Red
-Week 3 (March 13): Sports Team - Bring items for the North Gwinnett Co-Op (10 points)

-Week 1 (Feb 27): Paper Towels (3-pack or larger)
-Week 2 (March 6): Laundry detergent (50oz bottle or larger)
-Week 3 (March 13): Toothpaste - Nominate someone for Spirit of the Open (3 points)
- Submit the person’s name and why they deserve recognition through (one nomination per week)
- Leave gym review on Google (10 points)
*One review or update for the entire three weeks, not one per week.
– If you have left a review in the past, you may update it.
– Post a photo to the gym Google page.
