Each year at the CrossFit Games, they honor someone with the Spirit of the Games award. This honor goes to the ‘athlete who embodies the spirit of the sport.’
Each week during the 2015 CrossFit Open, No Excuses CrossFit will recognize a member it feels represented the Spirit of the Games. This week’s honor goes to …
Brandon Brigman has shown that hard work and dedication pays off. His 15.5 performance on Sunday was a gutsy one, completing the 27-21-15-9 Calorie Row and Thruster at a blistering 8:04, besting his first attempt at Friday Night Throwdown.
Brandon’s consistency with his training and nutrition has turned him into “the guy to beat” in class workouts. For CrossFitters, the CrossFit Games Open can be likened to the regular season for a basketball or football team; it’s the time to show what you’ve got and to reap the benefits of diligence and persistence in the off-season. Brandon’s Open performance is a testament to how hard he has trained this year leading up to the challenging 5-week test.
He continues to set an excellent example for everyone at No Excuses proving that persistence and small intentional steps towards improvement pays dividends.
Congratulations Brandon! Keep up the great work!
