Each year at the CrossFit Games, they honor someone with the Spirit of the Games award. This honor goes to the ‘athlete who embodies the spirit of the sport.’

Each week during the CrossFit Open, No Excuses CrossFit will recognize a member it feels represents the Spirit of the Games. This week’s honor goes to ….

Dave Drouault is the epitome of the Spirit of the Open. Before the CrossFit Open began, Dave was pumping up the three-week competition and encouraging everyone he saw at the gym to sign-up. The result was getting everyone, and I mean everyone, from the 8 am class to register. Dave was always very encouraging for people to do their best and get out of their comfort zone.

“Dave is such a good member,” No Excuses CrossFit coach Yessica Rojas said. “He’s always cheering for everybody, and encouraging them that they are capable of doing the Open.”
