No Excuses CrossFit is hosting the USA Weightlifting Sport Performance Coaching Course and Certification on Saturday, Jan. 23 and Sunday, Jan. 24. The cost is $495 and will be instructed by C.J. Stockel.

The entry level course is open to anyone 17-and-older and includes a one-year membership with USAW. The scope and sequence of this course includes the teaching progressions of the Snatch, Clean & Jerk, and all associated movements. Participants will gain knowledge and experience of programming of training for both competitive weightlifters and for athletes using the weightlifting movements for strength and power development as it applies to their chosen sport.
Course duration is over one weekend and lasts approximately 13-14 hours divided between lecture and practical training. This course is applicable to Strength & Conditioning/Sports Performance, Health & Fitness and beginning level competitive Weightlifting Coaches. Participants who successfully complete the Sports Performance Coach Certification may proceed to USA Weightlifting Club Coach status with the subsequent submission to a favorable criminal background screening. Courses are subject to cancellation, for cause, at the discretion of USAW; pre-paid travel and hotel arrangements made by participants are not the responsibility of USAW.
