How long have you been doing CrossFit?: Since June 2020
How did you first discover CrossFit and what made you decide to start?: I’ve always been active in fitness and wanted a gym that focused on weight training and cardio which lead me to CrossFit.
Tell us about your fitness/sports background: I was a competitive cheerleader for 13 years and started to get into weightlifting in high school. I tried to keep myself in shape in college by going to the gym more but was never consistent until I fold this gym after I graduated college.
What sorts of positive changes (mental, physical, emotional) have you noticed in your life since getting involved at No Excuses?: I look forward to working out! I love going to No Excuses and forgetting about the stress of work.
Who or what keeps you coming back and motivated?: I keep coming back because I generally love the workout style of the gym. I like that I’m able to work on different lifts as well as push myself during the timed workouts at the end of class.
In what other ways do you use your fitness?: It helps me become more focused.
Please share with us a favorite CrossFit or No Excuses moment.: I don’t have a specific moment but overall I just love the energy and camaraderie No Excuses provides as you are trying to reach your goals.
Name one goal you would like to achieve in the next year (doesn’t have to be CrossFit related, but it can be): Get kipping pull ups!
Tell us about your hobbies and interests outside of the gym: I love going on hikes with my husband and dog around Georgia. I like exploring new restaurants and eating great food. I love shopping and having game nights with my friends.
What advice do you have for someone just starting CrossFit or is on the fence about starting?: Just try it!
What do you love most about No Excuses?: It feels like home! I love that the coach and others know who you are and encourage you to make goals/ try new things.
