How long have you been doing CrossFit? (Since Month, Year): March 2023

How did you first discover CrossFit and what made you decide to start? I was done being sedentary and Googled best CF gyms near me, BAM!

Tell us about your fitness/sports background: Active until college and hit a dead stop until March 2023

What sorts of positive changes (mental, physical, emotional) have you noticed in your life since getting involved at No Excuses?

No Excuses is my church and therapy. I have never been this motivated to do anything this physically challenging in my life and stick with it for over 6 months, let alone over a year. Remember P90X, anyone? Big fail for me. I am losing weight and gaining muscle the right way and I realize all the things I was doing before to get in shape would have never worked for me.

Who or what keeps you coming back and motivated? 8:00 A.M.

In what other ways do you use your fitness?: I hope my dedication to CF is having an impact on how my kids see fitness and I hope that has long-lasting effects for their future decisions in staying active and healthy.

Please share with us a favorite CrossFit or No Excuses moment. CF Open 2024

Name one goal you would like to achieve in the next year (doesn’t have to be CrossFit related, but it can be) Strict pull up

Tell us about your hobbies and interests outside of the gym: My indoor plants, rescuing dogs (wish I had enough land to rescue more)

What advice do you have for someone just starting CrossFit or is on the fence about starting? Just keep coming and don’t say “I can’t”

What do you love most about No Excuses? The coaches want to motivate and challenge you; the members want to support and cheer you on. It’s a beautiful balance.
